Mali's Dogon Festival relocated to Bamako

An ancient festival in Mali has a new home. Held annually, the famous Dogon Festival used to take place in northern Mali, where the community originates. However, the insecurity that's plagued that part of the country has put off visitors and participants. Dogon culture is one of Mali's major tourist attractions. This year, authorities have moved the festival to the capital, Bamako.
