Haleem is like a stew which has amazing flavour of ghee and lot of spice.
In these cold days in Mauritius, this dish will for sure keep you warm.

Serves : 5 - 6 persons
Haleem
Ingredients:
400g Lamb with bones
80g Brown Lentils
1/4 Cup Red Lentils
1/4 Cup Chana Dal
80 g Broken Wheat
1 TBSP Ghee
1 Medium Onion (Paste)
1 TBSP Fresh Ginger & Garlic (Paste)
2 1/2 TBSP Haleem Spice
1/4 Cup Fried Onion
1.5 L Water
1 Cup Coriander Leaves
1 TSP Garam Masala
Salt to taste

For Garnish:
Lime
Coriander Leaves
Spring Onion
Fried Onion
Chilli Sauce

Homemade Haleem Spice:
1 Small Cinnamon Stick
2-3 Whole Cardamon
3 Cloves
1 TBSP Cumin
1/2 TSP whole black peppercorns
1/2 TSP Chilli Powder (Optional)
1/2 TSP Coriander seeds

To get the perfect Homemade Haleem Spice right take care not to over-roast the ingredients. After blend the whole spice with turmeric and chilli powder.

Bread Croquette with tuna

15 - 20 croquettes
Ingredients:
1 French Baguette stale
1 Can Tuna
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Onion (Finely chopped)
1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
1 Cup Breadcrumbs
Salt & Pepper to taste

Note: Add a bit of flour if the mixture has water.
