Mozambique: Palma stable but fragile two years after jihadist insurgency • FRANCE 24 English

In northern Mozambique, Total is considering whether or not to resume operations since the French company had withdrawn from its gas site in Cabo Delgado in 2021. The Rwandan and SADC military forces have been trying to stop a jihadist rebellion in the area ever since. Now, the situation has stabilised and people are reluctantly returning to their homes. Our special correspondents went to Palma, exactly two years after the city was captured by the insurgents.
