August 1980.
Footage of Zimbabwean Prime Minister Robert Mugabe watching former guerrillas of the Patriotic Front being trained as soldiers of the National Army.
Mugabe was concerned about the slow pace of absorption of former guerrillas into what had been the Rhodesian Army.
He was joined by his deputy Joshua Nkomo and President Samora Machel of Mozambique at Shaw Barracks in the village of Balla Balla (Now Mbalabala). Shaw Barracks is now known as the Zimbabwe School of Infantry.
