“Lībiyā, Lībiyā, Lībiyā” (Libya, Libya, Libya) is the national anthem of the Kingdom of Libya from 1951-1969

The anthem was first adopted in 1951, when Libya became independent. Its music was composed by Mohammed Abdel Wahab, and the lyrics were written by Al Bashir Al Arebi.

The anthem was relinquished in 1969 when a bloodless coup was staged by colonel Muammar Ghaddafi, which overthrew King Idris I of Libya, the anthem was then readopted when Ghaddafi was overthrown in 2011, it is currently being used by the State of Libya.
