The members who gathered in Tafelsig expected District Apostle Helper Mandla Mkhwanazi for their midweek divine service on Wednesday, 24 May 2023, but instead received a surprise visitor, the Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider.

This unexpected surprise brought much excitement to all those in attendance. The members were visibly happy to see the Chief Apostle at the altar while they were singing the opening hymn. Some were even seen wiping away a few tears of joy from their eyes!

Due to capacity restrictions, members of Tafelsig were not invited to Pentecost divine service on Sunday, 28 May, and for this reason, the Chief Apostle used the opportunity to thank the members for allowing the church to be used for the festive occasion.
During the divine service, the Chief Apostle called upon the District Apostle Helper Mandla Mkhwanazi to serve along.

The final anthem "Almighty God How Wonderous", was rendered with great enthusiasm and joy, by the musicians.
The surprise encounter will surely linger on long in the hearts of all those who were present on this memorable day.
