6. SOUNDBITE (English) Kevin Spacey, actor and director:
"I'm incredibly delighted to be here in Joburg, giving audiences in this industry an opportunity to see an emerging talent, and I think it's terrific."
7. Cutaways Spacey talking to reporters
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Kevin Spacey, actor and director:
"I've never played a dentist and I've never made a short film. So all of these films, all three of them are my first time doing shorts. It's such an interesting form and we look at it like we look at a feature film, you have to have the same production values, you have to organise it and prepare for it, hope that you're choosing the right director. And in this case there is no doubt in my mind that we did."

10. SOUNDBITE (English) Kevin Spacey, actor and director:
"I did, yes, I did a Chinese film, in fact the first Chinese film that a western actor has ever starred in. Look, there is no doubt that you start to look around the world, you start to look at the Asia-Pacific region, you start to look at what's happening here, you look at what's happening in European cinema, there's a lot going on. I like the idea of going to as many places as possible and have as many experiences as you can."
11. Cutaway wide of reporters surrounding Spacey
12. SOUNDBITE (English) Kevin Spacey, actor and director:
"We're going to bring in a production of a Michael Frayn play called 'Democracy,' which I thought was a pretty good title to be playing during the Olympics. And I'll be there for the opening, but actually I'll be pretty much in Baltimore now, shooting a series with David Fincher that we have just started called 'House of Cards,' so I won't be in London as much over the next months as I would like, but I am looking forward to the Olympics, I think it's going to be pretty awesome for the city and it's very exciting that while people are experiencing and enjoying the sports, they will still be able to go out and do a lot of cultural things."

KEVIN SPACEY PREMIERES SHORT FILM IN SOUTH AFRICA
Two-time Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday (12 MAY 2012) to promote a new short film in which he stars.
Written by up-and-coming 26-year-old South African writer Alan Shelley, "Spirit of a Denture" sees Spacey play a dentist operating on a pirate.
The film was one of three short international short films commissioned by the Jameson First Shot competition that rewarded winning screenplay writers from the US, Russia and South Africa with the chance to work with Spacey.
Speaking to local and international media on arrival at the film's premiere in Johannesburg's downtown Turbine Hall, Spacey was excited about his first experience working on the three short films.
Spacey went on to speak about his international outlook having recently worked in China on "Inseparable," a bilingual film by the Chinese-American director Dayyan Eng. Spacey plays an American expat who befriends a Chinese man bogged down by work and marital problems, played by Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu.
