Niger crisis: ECOWAS counting on the support of the EU

The President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Thursday (Aug. 31) said the bloc had asked for support from the European Union, after EU ministers expressed deep concern at the growing number of military coups across Africa.
