The establishment of Nigeria’s new flag carrier, Nigeria Air, six years after it was initially announced in 2018, has come at an inflection point in the country’s aviation sector. In an exclusive interview with AeroTime, Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Mr. Hadi Abubakar Sirika, said that Nigeria Air represents "opportunity" for Nigeria and Africa’s aviation Industry.

However, the new flag carrier has been met with both support and opposition due to its ownership structure with Ethiopian Airlines.

But the question on everyone's mind is when will Nigeria Air launch its operations?
