'Nigeria Election Results Cause CHAOS... But What Happened?'

Bola Tinubu, the ruling party candidate has been declared the winner of Nigeria's presidential election.

The 70-year-old veteran politician, known as ‘The godfather’, got 37% of the vote in one of the closest results in the recent decades, with his main rival, Atiku Abubakar, polling 29%.

Labour's Peter Obi obtained 25% of the votes to finish third, after being able to mobilise the support of many young people, especially in urban areas, who were incentivised by the opportunity to shake-up the country’s bipartidism.
