Nigerian Conglomerate Acquisition: Otedola Exits Transcorp Stake In Landmark Deal With Elumelu-23-04

Nigerian serial investor and billionaire Femi Otedola has exited his stake in Transcorp Plc.

Otedola had acquired a 6 per cent stake in Transcorp over a series of carefully orchestrated purchases going almost unnoticed until the acquisition was announced.

However, the billionaire investor reached a deal with Tony Elumelu, another serial investor and billionaire, who acquired a 25 per cent stake to exit Otedola’s company after both had declared willingness work together. Both parties say it was in their mutual best interest to part ways.
