Nzimande on the South African Music Industry Council

The SABC's decision to increase local music airplay to 90% on 18 public radio stations, has led to the formation of the South African Music Industry Council which seeks to be the sole voice and umbrella body for all role players and stakeholders in the music industry.
The Council is made up of several organisations in the music industry such as the African Heritage Trust, the Association Of Independent Record Companies Of South Africa as well as the Composers And Publishers Association Of South Africa.
