Following multiple peace-talk initiatives by the international community attempting to resolve the conflict in Libya, The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Regional Programme South Mediterranean (@kas.poldimed) and MDPD KAS in Brussels (@kas.mnedbrussels) created this podcast within the frame of the “Inter-Libyan dialogue”, a series of meetings, agreements and actions that aim to resolve the ongoing civil war.
Political and military rivals, as well as international key players, have taken part in this process. Recently, Libyan delegations signed an agreement on a mechanism for appointments to sovereign positions, marking the end of a second round of dialogue in Bouznika, Morocco from October 2-6, 2020. The two rounds of inter-Libyan dialogue, held in Bouznika between the delegations of the High Council of State and the Libyan House of Representatives, strived to strengthen trust between the two rival institutions and constitute a “positive” precedent on which they can capitalize.
