Political parties call for expulsion of Israel ambassador to SA

Thousands of people heed a call to take to the streets of Cape Town today in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. The South African Al-Quds Foundation organised the action as the war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas continues.

The demonstration will started at midday in District Six. The protesters delivered a memorandum to the office of the Western Cape Premier in Wale Street.

The devastating Gaza conflict has claimed over 12,400 lives on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
