Pope compares detention centers in Libya to concentration camps - VOA60 Africa 7-8-2020

Vatican: Pope Francis said on Wednesday the world was getting a watered-down version of what is happening to migrants in detention centers in Libya, comparing them to concentration camps.


Kenya: Police fired tear gas and arrested activists who were gathering Tuesday for an annual march against perceived government injustice. The protest had been given extra impetus by allegations by rights groups of police brutality during the COVID-19 lockdown.
