Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 18 January 2024, we will start today's video with a rainy drive on the M4 freeway past Gateway in Umhlanga, where we witness the power of nature. Then, we head to Blue Horizon Bay, where we measure 25 mm of rain in one day. Along the way, we see some cows grazing in the rain outside Bedford. We also marvel at the high water levels of the Orange River at Upington, which flows at more than 800 m3/s. We will stop at The Local Spot Deli & Padstal in Wolmaransstad, where we will enjoy some delicious food and drinks and show you more videos from around South Africa.

Welcome to our channel, SA Today! We will try and upload a video for you every day or the third day from somewhere around South Africa (SA) where we travel. We live in the platteland but try and see as much as we can of South Africa. Join us on a journey as we explore the beauty of South Africa through daily video captures. From breathtaking landscapes to vibrant cities, we showcase the diversity and charm of our country.

We want to show our viewers as many places as we can across the country worth visiting. South Africa is a large country, and only some locals know where all these places are, we therefore add a map that we created to show where the video was captured more or less. We also try and provide some history on many of the towns, museums and events on that day in South Africa. We take pride in bringing original and captivating videos that will leave you in awe.

Also in this video, we visit the Gariep Dam, the largest dam in South Africa, where we see some boats on the water. Next, we take a walk through the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve in Pretoria, where we encounter some wildlife and plants. We also watch the moon through a telescope video shot from Port Elizabeth, where we admire the beauty of the night sky. We then visit the Elephant Walk Restaurant, Farmshop, Leathershop & Nursery near Seaview, where we shop for some souvenirs and eat some more. Finally, we end the video with a relaxing view of the beach at Vilancoulos near the Archipelago in Mozambique.
