Rattlesnake is a pioneer film of cultural significance in Nollywood, first premiered in 1994 by Nigerian filmmaker Amaka Igwe. It was the first action film made in Nigeria, starring Nkem Owoh, Ann Njemanze, Francis Duru, Bob Manuel, Ernest Obi, Julius Agwu, Ejike Methuselah and others.

A movie considered by many as Nollywood royalty, Rattlesnake: The story of Ahanna follows the life of a young boy, Ahanna played by Francis Duru, lured into a life of crime after the death of his father. He eventually falls in love with a young lady named Ann, who pleads with him to abstain from a life of crime, but is somehow convinced by his best friend, to carry out one last act of robbery. As a result of unexpected and unforseen developments, Ahanna is eventually betrayed. Through all the challenges he faces, Ahanna manages to break free, returning to enact his revenge on every individual that betrayed him.

Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story, like her predecessor, is scheduled to premiere in cinemas nationwide, in November 2020, A Play Network Studios Production.
