Rawlo, a Nigerian Producer based in Liberia who is helping to improve the sound of Liberian Music
Rawlings Patrick, known as Rawlo is a Nigerian Producer, Artist based in Liberia.
Rawlo is a Nigerian Producer that is based in Liberia and has been working hard to see the Liberian music get to where it is now and is still working.
Rawlo when coming up, said he didn't receive any formal training in his career, but he believed in himself, and when in high school he started practicing and training himself. According to Rawlo, he had to be self-trained into his career because African parents don't believe in their children's dreams easily, they always want their kids to go to school and earn a degree before they start to invest in their kid's talents.
Rawlo started his musical career in his home country Nigeria after been trained, he decided to enter a competition for upcoming producers, after the competition Rawlo got his first endorsement deal. Rawlo came to Liberia after the Liberian Civil war in 2008. He came because someone when to Nigeria and told his manager that they needed a producer to come to Liberia to help change the sound of Liberian Music, Rawlo been told by his manager that he was coming to Liberia the following week went on google and search Liberia and all he could see was videos and pictures of the Liberian Civil War. Rawlo got afraid to come but was forced to come because his manager insisted. when Rawlo came to Liberia in 2008, he started working with Studio 57, which was one of the biggest recording studios in Liberia at that time.
According to Rawlo, as a producer, every piece of music should have two things to make it sound good, they are the "THE MESSAGE" and "THE BEATS".
Rawlo also mentions that lack of investment is killing the Liberian Entertainment Industry. Lberian's are not investing in their entertainment industry like the Nigerians and Ghanaians.
Rawlo met with Wizkid one of Nigeria's top musicians when he visited Liberia, they took pictures and played football together while in Liberia.
