Reggae performer Free enters the studio for the Indaba conversation with Chris. Join us to learn more about the Reggae scene in South Africa, the impact of lockdown restrictions on performances and the lives of musicians, and where you can catch a Reggae performance.
"Free (Self named) started out in the Reggae secene by joining a reggae band called "Undivided Roots" from Pietermaritzburg in 1996. She later joined The Meditators Reggae Band as vocalist/songwriter 2000, and then moved into management and bookings. In 2018 they founded the Durban Reggae Explosion Community, an NPO, collective of reggae/rasta bands, artists, crafters promoting reggae Culture and Lifestyle and sustainability for artists through music production and Events."
