Rwanda Welcomes First Refugees From Libya

The Rwandan government welcomed 66 Libyan refugees to the Eastern providence of Gashora.

The refugees are predominantly from the Horn of Africa and this includes women, children and youth at risk.

In addition to the 66 people, Rwanda currently has over 149,000 refugees. The new arrivals will be housed in a centre outside Kigali, where they will be free to move around.
