SA seeks revamp of immigration law - Home Affairs Minister Motsoaledi shares more

The South African migration system is set for a major overhaul. The Department of Home Affairs has released a draft White Paper on citizenship, immigration and refugee protection for public comment.

Cabinet approved the White Paper on Wednesday last week. It seeks to provide a framework for the granting of residency to foreign nationals.

The proposed policy will also address the protection of refugees and asylum seekers in the country.

Home Affairs Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi joins us virtually to expand on this matter.
