'SARATA' is a story based on deceit, love, betrayal and challenges faced by young women in an attempt to better their lives. Sarata is a young, beautiful well brought-up village girl in love with a young man Abdou. With the unpredictable situations of life, as an orphan, she moved to the city for a better life and find herself in a concrete jungle.

Cervical #cancer occurs when the cells in the cervix begin to grow and replicate in an abnormal and uncontrolled way. When this happens, the body cannot organize these cells for normal function and the cells form a mass that is called a tumour. Malignant tumours in the cervix can spread to other parts of the body, crowding and destroying normal cells and can lead to death if not treated on time. Cancer of the cervix is the commonest cancer and the leading cause of cancer mortality among women in developing countries.
Most cervical cancer is caused by a virus called human papillomavirus, or HPV. You can get HPV by having sexual contact with someone who has it. There are many types of the HPV virus. Not all types of HPV cause cervical cancer. Some of them cause genital warts, but other types may not cause any symptoms.

We encourage young women on the Occasion of the International Youth Day to embark on (Pap Test) to detect any cervical cancer symptoms and seek early treatment. We want millions of young people to see this film and intend to do a voice over and sub-tilting of the film in various local languages and official languages spoken in Africa.
