The global cosmetics industry was valued at over 530 billion dollars in 2017 and is expected to grow to 800 billion dollars in the next five years. Most of this market is owned by the U.S. and Europe. South Africa has a tiny piece of this pie that it wants to grow. The government has identified cosmetic and skincare production as a key sector for manufacturing and job creation, as CGTN's Sumitra Nydoo reports.
