HURLEY TO STAR IN AFRICAN FILM

The "face" of Estee Lauder, Liz Hurley -- better known as the
girlfriend of actor Hugh Grant -- is to star in a South African
movie. The role gave the actress the chance to make her first
visit the country. She arrived in Johannesburg with her co-star, American rap artist Ice Cube. Going under the working title "The Spear," the movie will be set in the drugs underworld of contemporary Johannesburg. Hurley will play the girlfriend of a man missing in South Africa, while Ice Cube's role will be that of the missing man's brother. Hurley did not rule out the possiblity that she would be visited by actor Hugh Grant will in South Africa. Referring to the
publicity she has received because of the actor's recent liaison with a Los Angeles prostitute, she said "It's very difficult in England at the moment. I mean, it's actually intolerable to be on display all the time."
