Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 16 October 2023, we start today's video with the rain that fell in Pretoria and Waterval Boven in the Gauteng and Mpumalanga Provinces of South Africa. We also show you the water next to the road from the rain last week received around Victoria-West. Strong winds on Sir Lowry's Pass and also show more videos from around South Africa.

Weather forecast for today across South Africa
The South African Weather Service has issued impact-based warnings for the day. There will be a significant interruption to coastal and inland travel in the King Cetshwayo areas of KwaZulu-Natal due to heavy rain at the Orange Level 6 warning.

Rain that causes localised flooding of informal settlements, roads, low-lying areas, and bridges; localised interruption of municipal services between Buffalo City Metro and Port Edwards; yellow level 2 warning.

In Limpopo's western and central core, severe thunderstorms with damaging gusts, huge amounts of tiny hail, and heavy downpours are predicted to break tree branches and destroy poorly constructed settlements. This is a Yellow Level 2 warning.

CAUTION: FIRE HAZARDS
Parts of the North-West, Limpopo, and Highveld are forecast to have extremely high fire danger.

We live in the platteland but try and see as much as we can of South Africa. Join us on a journey as we explore the beauty of South Africa through daily video captures. From breathtaking landscapes to vibrant cities, we showcase the diversity and charm of our country and a little bit of Namibia.

Subscribe and come along for the adventure!

We want to show our viewers as many places as we can across the country worth visiting. South Africa is a large country, and only some locals know where all these places are, we therefore add a map that we created to show where the video was captured more or less. We also try and provide some history on many of the towns, museums and events on that day in South Africa. We take pride in bringing original and captivating videos that will leave you in awe.

Also in this video, we show you Izintaba Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg District, the Linder Auditorium, WITS Campus in Johannesburg, Wetnose where volunteers are invited to come and walk the dogs and we end the video today in Blue Horizon Bay in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa where a small bird is making a nest in a Numnum shrub.
