Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 3 February 2024, we will start today's video showing the heavy rain in Kempton Park, Centurion, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa and Waterval Boven in Mpumalanga. We also show Mackerel Beach in Simonstown. Then, there is a short clip of Upington with a rainbow in the background. We do a fast walk during the Parkrun at the National Botanical Gardens in Pretoria. Then, we show you around Durban and Umhlanga on a lovely sunny day. We then show you the Auchterlonie Picnic site in the Kgalagadi National Park. Then, we will take a slow drive to SANParks' head office at Groenkloof in Pretoria and show you more videos from around South Africa.

The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
On February 3rd, 2024, South Africa encountered a diverse range of weather conditions throughout its provinces. The weather in Gauteng was pleasant, with a warm day that turned partly cloudy in the afternoon and had a few isolated showers. Mpumalanga experienced a misty morning, followed by a partially cloudy day with scattered showers, and the Lowveld was quite hot. Limpopo began the day with a layer of fog, which gradually gave way to some clouds and a few scattered showers in the southern region. The weather in the North West Province was partly cloudy, with warm to hot temperatures and occasional isolated showers, except in the northern region. The Free State experienced a mix of clouds and sunshine, with temperatures ranging from warm to hot. Some areas in the east also saw scattered showers. The weather in the Northern Cape was cool, with morning and evening fog. It was also hot to very hot, with isolated showers. The Western Cape experienced morning and evening fog, along with partly cloudy skies and intense heat. There were also scattered showers in the afternoon. The Western Half of the Eastern Cape experienced morning fog, partly cloudy conditions, and intense heat, with occasional showers. The Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape experienced morning fog, followed by a mix of clouds and sunshine, along with high temperatures and occasional showers. KwaZulu-Natal experienced morning fog and gradually became warm to hot throughout the day. Clouds started to gather in the afternoon, bringing along scattered showers. There were reports of severe weather on this day. A Yellow Level 2 warning has been issued for severe thunderstorms in certain areas. These storms may bring with them large amounts of small hail and excessive lightning. The affected regions include parts of the Northern Cape, Western Cape, central Mpumalanga, and the KwaZulu-Natal escarpment. Parts of the Northern Cape and Western Cape were anticipated to experience extremely high fire danger conditions. Unbearably high temperatures and uncomfortable conditions continued to affect certain areas of the Western Cape.
