Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today. On 9 December 2023, we will start today's video with a big rainstorm in Waterval Boven. The wind picked up while having a braai, and then it was bucketing down the next moment. There was also rain this morning in Pretoria. Watched the Sevens Rugby at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town. We then take you on a donkey cart ride through Willowmore in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. From there, we drive over the Orange River in Upington and show you more videos from around South Africa.
The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Anticipated heavy rainfall in the Western Cape Province, specifically in Swellendam and Mosselbay, may cause disruptive conditions and localised flooding in vulnerable formal and informal settlements. Anticipate severe thunderstorms in the extreme eastern regions of Free State, eastern areas of North West, Gauteng, the northern interior of KwaZulu-Natal Province, south-eastern parts of Limpopo Province, and certain parts of Mpumalanga Province, excluding the extreme north-east. These storms may bring about strong damaging winds, hail, and heavy rainfall.
