Tanzania will hold a referendum in April on a new constitution. The draft on which Tanzanians will vote proposes among other things, the establishment of an independent electoral commission and allowing for the first time, legal challenges to presidential election results. To tell VOA’s Vincent Makori more about it, is Honorable Samuel Sitta, Tanzania’s Minister of East African Cooperation and former chairman of Tanzania’s Constituent Assembly, which conducted a review of the country’s constitution.
