Technology key in enhancing food production in Africa

The African continent has recently faced its fair share of agricultural challenges brought on by pest, drought, and disease. Stakeholders from the private and public sectors, meeting in Nairobi, agree that using technology is one of many ways to mitigate some of these challenges. One such example is StrigaAway, a project focusing on the weed that has destroyed millions of hectares of land in the continent. Vik Chege has the story.
