A 2013 Brookings Institution study, revealed that African youth (15-24 years), constitute about 37% of the working-age population. The same age group, however, accounts for about 60% of joblessness on the continent.

With a majority of African countries diversifying from traditional income sources, entrepreneurship is increasingly seen as a key to economic growth. So far, it has yielded significant returns and according to experts, there lies great untapped potential to drive the African continent into its next phase of development.

Many African entrepreneurs, however, face a number of challenges with a lack of access to capital and an enabling environment presenting huge loopholes to the success of their ventures.

Tolulope Adeleru-Blaogun chats with serial Pan-African entrepreneur, investor and author, Sangu Delle about the successes and lows of entrepreneurship on the continent.
