The Genetics of CLL and SLL in African Americans and Other Minorities

There has been very little research in minority populations with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). Dr. Susan Slager and Dr. Esteban Braggio from Mayo Clinic are hoping to help remedy that knowledge gap with a clinical trial specifically for minorities with CLL. They will be looking at the genetics of CLL in African Americans and other minorities. In this interview, Dr. Susan Slager discusses the goals of this research study.
