The Largest Mosque in Mali 🇲🇱

This is the Collective Cremation of the great Mosque of Djenné. The biggest cultural event in Mali, the largest mosque built in the world.

Built in the XIlI century, it is considered one of the greatest achievements of architecture on earth. The mosque is built out of a bench, a mixture of clay, straw and wood, which gives it a unique and impressive appearance. The Great Mosque of Djenné is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an important symbol of Mali’s history and culture.
