His reign lasted for 42 years and ended in 2011 when he was toppled from the government by U.S.A. and it's allies. The dinar is the official currency of Libya. Libyans officially speak Arabic whiles these languages are also also spoken; Tamasheq, Ghadamès, Nafusi, Suknah and Awjilah. English, French and Italian are used in commerce, due to the large influx of foreigners.
