The potential of green hydrogen and other storage solutions in Africa - SolarPower Summit 2021

The aim of this session, supported by GET.invest, is to discuss the role that green hydrogen can play to enhance the renewable-based electrification trend in Africa. Green hydrogen can play a fundamental role in the continent’s energy transition – not only by allowing more variable renewable energy integration but also by strengthening energy independence while creating jobs and accelerating the fight against climate change, which all are very relevant aspects in the African context. This session will explore how this potential can be realized and how the EU’s Green Deal Diplomacy can contribute to this endeavor.
