THERAPIST GIVES BACK TO HER COUNTRY, LIBERIA

Over the Christmas break, I was fortunate to go back to my country Liberia, West Africa with my husband and our three daughters. While there, I launched a trauma resolution counseling program for girls who have experienced any kind of sexual abuse without receiving trauma resolution counseling. This happens to be many girls living in Liberia, West Africa. Girls are raped daily in Liberia, and unlike other countries, these girls receive no counseling.

As a marriage therapist who specializes in trauma resolution counseling, I figured this is the best way to give back to my country and to help Liberian girls experience the gift of trauma counseling, which I know will be a blessing to them and their families.
