Hello Displorers, welcome to another informative video presented to you by Displore. In this video, we will discuss the top 10 most used car brands in Africa. Africa is the most sought-after market by car manufacturers. Rapid urbanization in parts of the continent attributes to the demand of vehicles, with more people opting to own a vehicle over using public transportation to move in and around cities. The most popular types of cars on the continent are cars which can easily man over the difficult terrain of theroads in the countries given most African countries face the problem of insufficient or poor road infrastructure. In most developed countries, the choices of cars used are mostly based on the preferences of the individual buying the car but that is not the case in most African countries or at least doesn’t constitute a greater portion of their decision making. The pot-holed and dirt roads in most African countries has influenced the choices of cars mostly imported and used by the populous of the continent unlike the case of most developed countries where their choices are influenced by their preferences mostly. Another factor is also the availability of the car parts of the vehicles and repairing technicians in the country in question given most cars are imported and the car companies are not established on the continent for the most part. Most cars imported are second handed given how expensive they are but some countries still manage to buy and import brand new cars. South Africa tops the list for the largest new car market in Africa, the north African region follows with Algeria, Egypt and Morocco. Nigeria and Kenya also do import a good number of new cars.
