About the speakers:
Lynn Hendricks is a practicing Research Psychologist who lectures and conducts research in the Department of Global Health at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She is an executive member of the Psychological Society of South Africa. She is currently a Global Minds PhD scholar and is completing a joint PhD in Social Science at KU Leuven and Public Health at Stellenbosch University. She is the co-founder of Hearts in Action, a nonprofit focusing on gender-based violence and youth. Lynn has a keen interest in working with communities to design, conduct, analyze research as well as to disseminate research findings.

Mamtuti Panneh is a PhD candidate at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship. She uses mixed-methods in her PhD to understand violence and mental health among vulnerable populations and how these factors affect cortisol levels and the immune system. Before joining LSHTM, Mamtuti had worked at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, the Medical Research Council Unit in the Gambia, the Manhica Health Research Center (CISM) in Mozambique, and Taipei City Hospital in Taiwan. Mamtuti has a background in Global Health, Healthcare Management and Biomedical Sciences.
