What's in the news - Democracy in Africa

Bill Emmott, former editor of The Economist and Visiting Fellow of Practice at the Blavatnik School of Government, chairs a series of Thursday discussions with students, faculty and experts about hot topics in current affairs.

This week's discussion is about "Democracy in Africa": the progress of democratic institutions and development in sub-Saharan Africa, linked to the recent standoff and then transition in Gambia.
