The World Health Organization is holding a briefing Monday on the coronavirus pandemic, which has infected more than 20.6 million people worldwide and killed at least 749,700, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The Pan American Health Organization’s top health official warned Tuesday that the region’s expanding number of coronavirus cases show the Americas remain “under the grip of Covid-19.”
