Zambia's Commerce Minister promises consultation before mining tax code changes

Zambia is currently preparing its 2019 budget, and the commerce minister says there won't be any changes to the mining tax code, without industry consultation. The country's Medium-Term Expenditure Plan forecasts a 23-percent increase in mineral royalty revenues to 4-hundred and 40 million dollars, and a mining profit tax revenue increase of 27-percent to about 2-hundred and 50-million dollars
