Zambia's Debt Hits $32.88bn As Restructuring Talks Stall | Business Edge | 30/03/2023
In November 2020, Zambia succumbed to the weight of a $42.5 million Eurobond repayment, by becoming the first African nation to default on its debt in the Covid-19 era, and now its total public debt stock has climbed to $32.8 billion, including interest arrears at the end of last year, of which $18.6 billion was external.
