Zambia and Zimbabwe struggle to increase electric capacity

Zambia and Zimbabwe have been facing chronic power shortages as water levels at the Kariba dam continue to decline. The two southern African countries both use the dam to generate electricity, but the shortages have been especially hard on Zambia whose economy is already battling a crisis in its copper mining sector.
