These efforts have continued to ensure the achievement of global and continental goals, including SDG 6 and the African Union Agenda 2063 – the Africa we want. But more hands must be on deck if Africa must achieve its development goals. To contribute to ongoing efforts; to mobilise participation and action for change, AMCOW seeks to set up a news platform to help Africans tell their water and sanitation stories collectively.
Africa's Voice on Water (AVOW) is a continental news magazine promoting water and sanitation issues in Africa. The magazine will highlight the challenges and opportunities facing the water and sanitation sector, showcase best practices and innovations, and provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and experiences. AVOW will be published quarterly and feature articles, interviews, and opinion pieces from experts, practitioners, and policymakers across the Continent.
Overall, the magazine aims at creating a convergent voice that portrays water and sanitation as cross-cutting priorities for social and economic development in Africa.

El golpe de estado de Miguel Primo de Rivera llegó en un momento en que España necesitaba un cambio de rumbo urgente. Fue por eso que muy pocos se opusieron a una dictadura militar al comienzo de esta. No mas tomar el poder, Miguel Primo de Rivera prometió que su gobierno sería breve y que se llamaría a elecciones en unos pocos meses. Esto no sucedió. En las sombras de la dictadura el movimiento republicano cobró fuerzas, esperando el momento oportuno para actuar. Personajes como Manuel Azaña combraron relevancia en estos años. Se puede decir que la segunda republica española no hubiera sido posible sin la dictadura de Primo de Rivera. Durante sus años como dictador tuvo lugar una importante campaña militar en Africa en las cuales se llegó a utilizar gas mostaza.
