In North Africa, the newly elected Libyan Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha arrived in Tripoli from the eastern city of Tobruk, promising "to reach out to everyone," after the House of Representatives, based in Libya's east, "unanimously approved" the former interior minister. Libya faced the challenge of two prime ministers on Thursday after parliament named a rival to the existing unity government's chief Abdulhamid Dbeibah, hours after his convoy was targeted in a drive-by shooting. The appointment of a second prime minister threatens to spark a new power struggle in the war-torn nation.

In this very first episode of My Migration Story series, 24-year-old Omolara Akintayo told Damilare Okunola how she traveled to Libya in 2017 in search of greener pastures as her family was lavishing in poverty, but she got more than she bargained for.

She spent 14 days on her way to the North African country, and watched as her friends were molested and assaulted by their slave masters.

"If I knew it was going to be like that, I would not have traveled. I honestly regret traveling to Libya," Omolara told Legit.ng's Damilare Okunola.
