राज्यसभेत खोट्या व दिशाभूल करणाऱ्या जाहिरातींविषयी चर्चा सुरू होती. समाजवादी पक्षाचे खासदार नरेश अगरवाल यांनी हा मुद्दा उपस्थित करून विविध प्रसारमाध्यमांमधून प्रसिद्ध होणाऱ्या अशा जाहिरातींविषयी चिंता व्यक्त केली. त्यावेळी, नायडू यांनी यासंबंधीचे वैयक्तिक अनुभव सांगितले. ‘उपराष्ट्रपती झाल्यानंतर मी विशिष्ठ कालावधीत काही किलो वजन कमी करू शकणाऱ्या औषधी गोळ्यांची जाहिरात पाहिली. या गोळ्या खरेदी करण्यासाठी सुमारे १,००० रुपये भरण्यास सांगितले होते. त्यानुसार मी पैसे भरले’, असे नायडू म्हणाले. नायडू यांना गोळ्या मिळण्या ऐवजी एक ई-मेल पाठवण्यात आला व त्यामध्ये त्यांना आधी मागवलेल्या गोळ्या मिळण्यासाठी आणखी १,००० रुपये भरण्यास सांगण्यात आले होते. त्यामुळे नायडू यांचा संशय बळावला व त्यांनी ग्राहकहित मंत्रालयाला यासंबंधी माहिती दिली. ग्राहकहित मंत्री रामविलास पासवान यांनी यासंबंधी चौकशी सुरू केली, तेव्हा जाहिरात देणारी कंपनी ही नवी दिल्लीतील नसून अमेरिकेतील असल्याचे निष्पन्न झाले, असेही नायडू यांनी सांगितले.<br /><br /><br />आमच्या चैनल ला सब्सक्राइब करा https://www.youtube.com/LokmatNews
