-A 50s Kern Paillard Yvar 1:2.8 f36mm lens at f5.6
-Zeiss Ikon Movilux projector (gate plate removed).

Summer of Romance, 1967. La Goulette, the touristic beach of Tunisia, is the site where three nice seventeen-year-old girls live: Gigi, Sicilian and Catholic; Meriem, Tunisian and Arab; Tina, French and Jewish. They would like to have their first cherry experience during that summer, challenging their families. Their fathers, Youssef, Jojo and Giuseppe, are old friends and their friendship will be in crisis because of the girls, while Hadj, an old rich Arab, would like to marry Meriem.

Adapted from Rumer Godden’s novel, the story is a compelling look at the manner in which the two societies were still firmly interwoven in the late 1950s, a decade after Indian independence.
It's 1959, and a widowed official with the United Nations in Delhi, India brings his two daughters from England to live with him. Tension between 15-year old Una and Alix, a Eurasian woman acting as governess soon erupts, as Una suspects her father's motives. Screen can reveal the first trailer for Tunisian director Youssef Chebbi’s edgy police thriller 'Ashkal' ahead of its world premiere in Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.

The drama unfolds against the backdrop of an unfinished new neighbourhood called the Gardens Of Carthage on the outskirts of Tunis, the construction of which stalled due to the 2011 revolution.

As building work starts up, a series of badly burned bodies start turning up on the site. Local police officers Fatma and Batal are assigned to investigate.
