The Bible story about the city of Sodom and Gomorrah is a sad story that reminds us of just how much God hates sin. During the time of Abraham, three angels came to visit him, and two of the angels decided to go visit Sodom and Gomorrah. The Lord told Abraham that he would destroy the city because of the people's sins. God also told Abraham that he would spare the people and not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if he could find even ten righteous people.

When the two angels arrived in Sodom and Gomorrah, a man named Lot invited them to stay at his home. Some men from the city came to Lots home demanding to be given the two visitors so they could have sex with them. Lot, trying to defend and protect the angels, offered the men his virgin daughters in their place. As the angry men tried to break into Lot's home, the angels struck the men blind and then led Lot and his family out of the city.

As Lot's family fled Sodom and Gomorrah, God rained down, burning sulfur onto the city. All men, animals, and vegetation were destroyed. The angels warned Lot and his family to not look back but his wife did not listen and was immediately turned into a pillar of salt when she looked back.

Pastor Gerald's job is on the line if he doesn't increase the attendance of the men in the church. He decides to have a men's retreat hoping it will fix everything. Little did he know that he's in for the fight of his life. He realizes God didn't call him to increase the men at the church but help them.

This fascinating documentary presents the events of Gladys' life, chronicled by Carol Purves, author of Chinese Whispers: The Gladys Aylward Story and accompanied by photographs, illustrations, and recordings of Gladys' own voice.

Gladys Aylward (1902-1970) may have been small in stature at barely five feet tall, but she was a giant of conviction! Even Hollywood was amazed by her story and made a movie about it, entitled The Inn of the Sixth Happiness. This fascinating documentary presents the events of Gladys' life, chronicled by Carol Purves, author of Chinese Whispers: The Gladys Aylward Story and accompanied by photographs, illustrations, and recordings of Gladys' own voice. Young Gladys sensed a calling from God to leave London and go to minister in China. She worked as a parlormaid for many years until she had enough money saved for her passage. In 1930, she boarded a train and after many weeks and harrowing situations, she finally reached her destination. In China she assisted aging missionary Jeannie Lawson. Together they opened an inn for mule drivers and told them stories about Jesus. After Mrs. Lawson died, Gladys began to take in unwanted children, eventually numbering about 100. With Japan invading China full force, Gladys and the 100 children traveled for days on foot across the mountains to safety. Gladys continued her work with children until her death in 1970. See how this ordinary woman experienced the extraordinary, simply because she said "yes" to God.
