Pyro Media had the pleasure to work with the South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA) and SABC. Our responsibilities were to produce television adverts, 3D motion graphics for the event and visuals for broadcasting on television, including logo build, titles and nominee categories. We did a live video production with video editing.

The events were aired on SABC 1 and our beautiful graphics were shown to over millions of South Africans. It is always a unique experience to work closely with so many different cultures from Africa.
SATMA Awards are about celebrating music made in the style of the people and various language groups of South Africa. The SATMA AWARDS slogan is My Culture, Your Culture, One Nation. The slogan was chosen in line with the vision which seeks to unify all African ethnic, racial groups and Africans within the Diaspora through Traditional Music. SATMA AWARDS gives traditional music its rightful status and role in South African Arts & Culture in the preservation of our Heritage. SATMA AWARDS recognized this void; therefore the birth of the South African Traditional Music Achievement (SATMA) Awards was incepted, where traditional music is given an appropriate platform to honour musicians by hosting a ceremonial event.
