The Untold Story Of How Nigerian/African Hunters Hunt For bushmeat Ep3

Note:
I am so sorry I had to remove some beautiful scene from this awesome video due to YouTube policy of violations of animal cruelty.
I was getting view but the video wasn’t monetized.
I think it’s time to get a Patreon account.

Note:
This hunting is not for fun or game. They hunt to food and it as been their way of life.
Please don’t hate. Try to watch with a positive view.

Day 2 of the hunting. Let's get started.

There as been a lot of hunting videos online which includes how different people or tribes hunt.
Do you actually know how the Yoruba tribes hunt in West Africa Nigeria? This video will take you back to how bush meat hunting is done and what the hunters goes through while hunting. Maybe hunting is easy or hard, you will find out in this video.

When you read, ear or think about hunting in Africa, don't think it's for the poor alone. Hunting as gone beyond that, it's now a way of life, part of culture, tradition and a way of getting people to come together, leave the city and come to the village to enjoy nature and themselves.

This is the most amazing video I have ever created.

Meet Nigeria's hyena boys, fearless nomadic traders working in a family business like no other. The animal handlers tame wild hyenas from a young age and have an entourage of snakes and baboons in football kits.

"I have been doing this since I was five", says a wiry man crouching next to his hyena. "Since the animal was little, I've been feeding him, giving him meat and medicine." Now the beast is tame enough to be tethered, paraded and wrestled with in public. But the hyena boys must also be tamed, fed strange medicines from infancy, and plied with snakes to be integrated into the community fuelled by the belief that they are spiritually connected to the animals.

We only get to see wild animals on TV or at the Zoo. Also, some animals are so few in the wild that it's very difficult to even capture them to showcase them in a zoo. However, these animals exist and some of them, here in Nigeria.

Here's a run down of '15 Wild Animals That Still Exist in Nigeria'

Lions

Lions are truly going extinct in the world. Formerly they could be found in most parts of Northern Nigeria and the West African Savanah as a whole. In Nigeria there are less than 40 lions.

Leopards
Due to over-hunting for their beautiful coats and also the swelling of populations, they're going extinct. Leopards can be found in few places in the Southern Nigeria and also Northern Nigeria.

Elephants
They are an endangered species in Nigeria. They are being hunted for their tusks, which is made of ivory. Elephants are the only natural sources of Ivory. They can be found in reserves and the forests of South Western Nigeria.

Hyena
There’s still an okay population of Hyenas in Northern Nigeria. In fact, there’s a group of men known as the hyena men, they trap these animals, train them and use them for stunts in public, thereby earning themselves money.

Dama Gazelles
These look like wild goats. They have horns that can grow to 50cm and they are herbivores. They move in herds migrate seasonally. They are found in the Northen part of Nigeria.

Hippopotamus
Hippos inhabit marshlands and waterlogged areas. They have no known natural predators. With their skin very thick it is difficult for the teeth of predators to pierce their hides. They can run at the speeds of 30 to 40 km, therefore it is vital that they are avoided.

African Wolf
It is also known as the African golden wolf to the colour of its coat. It is found in desert climates of Africa. It can be found all the way from the Northern part of Africa up until Northen Nigeria, especially in the areas shared by Nigeria and Chad.

Striped Polecat
Also called skunk this animal is found abundantly in the Northen part of Nigeria. They measure about 60-70cm, that is from head to end of the tail. Although it is very small it is not easily preyed upon.

Baboons
They can be found mostly in the rainforests of Nigeria. Where there are foliage and tree cover where they can hang from. The most popular Baboons in Nigeria are called the Olive Baboon because of the colour of their coat.

Chimpanzee
The Chimpanzee can only be found in Africa, and of all the other primates, it is the one that is closely related to humans. Chimps can be found in the rainforest bordering Nigeria and Cameroon.

Crocodiles
Crocodiles can be found in marshes, lakes and rivers of the Southern part of Nigeria. They are the Apex predators in whichever place they find themselves. They can kill animals as big as Zebras and cows and occasionally they’ve been known to kill humans.

Crested Genet
This animal is found in the rainforest regions between Nigeria and Cameroun. They are also heavily endangered with less than 7000 of them left in the wild. The decline is due to population increase, as man takes over their natural habitats.

African Buffalo
Buffalos are very popular in the wilds of North American and Eastern Africa, however, they can also be found in the savannas of Nigeria. The African buffalo is considered the smallest amongst the world’s Buffalos.

Bush Buck
These are another species of antelope, they have long legs and are very fast runners. They have brown with white spots on their coats and of course horns for defending themselves. They can be found in the rainforests all the way to the Savannahs. They are also called Imbabala.

Cross River Gorilla
They can be found in the forest hills between Nigeria and Cameroun. Their population is currently threatened by hunting and the loss of their natural habitats. There are about 100 of these Gorillas left in Nigeria and most of them are found in the forests of Cross River.

A lot of these animals are endangered, if they go extinct, there will be an adverse effect on the environment and other species in the area. We should play our role to help conservationists to preserve these animals. Start by saying no to "bush meat!"

Hundreds of dogs and their owners came together Saturday (Dec. 10). The carnival venue was overflowing with breeds from across the country. Pets were seen dressed in colorful costumes, and accessories, and in some cases, sported quirky sunglasses - all in an effort to get into a carnival spirit.

Nigeria is a land of diverse ecosystems, including deserts, plains, swamps, mountains, and jungles. The third-largest river delta in the world is within its boundaries. Therefore, you can find many different forms of wildlife in Nigeria. There are over 22,000 vertebrate and invertebrate species, about 20,000 insect species, 1,000 bird species, 1,000 fish species, 247 mammals, and 123 reptile species in Nigeria. A hyena may not be your average house pet, but in northern Nigeria some men keep the creatures in their homes, display them at festivals and even use their dung or saliva to make remedies.

Pet Relocation - Mauritius Expat Desk Article

Tearing eyelids from eyelashes, I wake up crusty eyed and stumble to the kitchen lead only and purposefully by the smell of brewing coffee. No morning Instagram scrolling routine is complete without this precious commodity pumping life into veins, and so I sit down and scroll down in my best attempt to embrace dawn of wakefulness.

Dogs are known to be a highly adaptive and intelligent species. To survive in modern cities, street dogs must be able to navigate traffic.

Some of the stray dogs in Bucharest are seen crossing the large streets at pedestrian crosswalks. The dogs have probably noticed that when humans cross streets at such markings, cars tend to stop. The dogs have accustomed themselves to the flow of pedestrian and automobile traffic; they sit patiently with the people at the curb when they are stopped for a red light, and then cross with them as if a daily routine.

In cities in Russia and several other countries, street dogs are said to have been observed to learn to use subway and bus services.
