A recent double leopard hunt with hounds conducted in the Kalahari in Botswana. Luck was on our side and we managed to hunt two beautiful cats in two days, with one of them being a problem leopard which the client was happy to take as his trophy. Unfortunately as mentioned in the end of the video. One of our dogs unfortunately ate some poison that was in the area due to neglegence of the farmer who tried to take predator control into his own hands. Unfortunately this is the chosen method for many farmers and many other harmless animals will suffer from it. Hunting with hounds is a very successful way to target specific cats.

Spending a day in Maun Botswana where we visited the elephant orphanage Elephant haven where they rescue baby elephants and bring them back to nature when they are old enough to take care of themselves. We also went on a small horse back riding safari.

Just having passed the north gate of Moremi, also known as Xakanaxa, we were about to stop for lunch as we found this small pack of wild dogs at the Xakanaxa campsite. Needless to say, we waited with our lunch.

Welcome to Botswana!

Our two weeks in Botswana went by in no time at all, but the memories we left with will last a lifetime - and we are super excited to share some of the most special moments with you here! In this episode we will take you along as we follow a pack of 19 wild dogs (or painted wolves, as they are also known) in Khwai Private Reserve on the outskirts of the fabled Okavango Delta. These are Africa's most successful predators, and definitely among our favorite animals to spend time with. And if their strong social bonds and playful nature weren't enough to keep us entertained, having ten puppies around certainly ensured that there was never a dull moment!

An endangered species, we were fortunate to photograph a small pack of African hunting dogs (African Wild Dog) during our morning game drive at Machaba as they were leaving on a hunt. We caught them again late in the aftermnoon.
